Association of Trademark Owners in Bulgaria Да направим заедно повече!

The membership in the Association is fully voluntary. Every candidate has to answer the requirements for admittance in the Association, mentioned in the present decrees, as well as to be approved by the Board of Managers as conscientious, with good reputation and having the necessary qualities for membership in the Association.

The members of the Association are regular, associated and honorary.

• Regular – a proprietor of a registered trademark/s, valid on the territory of Republic of Bulgaria, as well as a registered user of registered geographical indications. Intellectual property representatives, lawyers and consulting agencies, working in the same sphere cannot be members of the Association.
• Associated – lecturers and scientists in the intellectual property field, industrial property representatives, consulting companies and other experts, who work in the field of trademark theory and practice, public organizations, non-profit organizations, state authorities and international organizations which determine the politics in the field of trademarks and geographical indications.
• Honorary – a physical person chosen by the Board of Managers or by the General Assembly, who has contributed essentially for achieving the Association’s aims and subject and for the developing of the intellectual property.

The regular and the associated members pay affiliation fee by their acceptance and a member’s fee.

The affiliation fee is as follows:

1. for the constitutors – 300lv.
2. for the regular members
   • owning from 1 to 10 objects – 500lv.
   • owning from 10 to 30 objects – 1000lv.
   • owning over 30 objects – 1500lv.
3. for the associated members (including physical people, who are industrial property representatives) – 1000lv., except for the scientists, for who the affiliation fee is in the rate of one minimal salary by the moment of acceptance as members.
4. The honorary members do not pay affiliation fee and membership fee.

The annual membership fee is as follows:

1. for the regular members
   • owning from 1 to 10 objects – 300lv.
   • owning from 10 to 30 objects – 700lv.
   • owning over 30 objects – 1000lv.
2. for the associated members – 500lv., except for the scientists, for who the affiliation fee is in the rate of ½ minimal salary by the moment of payment.
